Alcohol intake after the operation may cause the failure of the transplanted grafts as it hinders the nourishment of the transplanted grafts. Smoking should also be avoided as it has retarding effects.

As a rule, alcohol intake and smoking should be avoided at least 2 weeks before the operation and 2-4 months after the operation.
